Norwegian Sysco makes another acquisition in Sweden when they acquire IMAP Swedens client, SQL Service Nordic AB

SYSCO have signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in the Swedish managed services company, SQL Service Nordic AB. SQL Service Nordic AB is a Microsoft expert founded in 2009, delivering monitoring, maintenance and expertise services on SQL Server, Power BI and Azure. The company, and it’s 21 highly skilled employees, is based in Stockholm.

At SQL Service, their personnel have an average of 17 years of experience in databases in the Microsoft environment. The company is a Microsoft certified Gold partner and the right supplier for those who use Microsoft SQL Server for their business-critical systems, who need advanced databases and require the best performance, high security, scalability, accurate analyzes and are looking for smart solutions for everything between data centers and the cloud.

Håkan Winther, Managing Director of SQL Service Nordic AB, comments on the deal: “With the increased digitalization and data explosion, we see that the market is growing within several different database platforms where SQL service has not previously had a focus. By joining Sysco, we see the opportunity to combine our cutting-edge expertise on the Microsoft platform with their breadth on other platforms to become a complete provider of specialist database services throughout the Nordic region. We see this as a very exciting opportunity, and already have some interesting cooperation with SYSCO Sweden. During the acquisition process we also realized that the two companies are a perfect match regarding ambitions, services, skills, and culture”.

With the acquisition, Norwegian SYSCO is continuing its growth momentum with further strengthening of their international operations.

“Through the acquisition of SQL Service, we strengthen both our service portfolio around monitoring, integration, and development of critical databases, as well as the breadth of our cutting-edge expertise in the Microsoft area, especially in business intelligence. The explosive growth of data volumes in recent years means that we are experiencing great demand and strong growth in this area”, says Dagfinn Ringås, CEO of SYSCO. Dagfinn continues: "With SQL Service onboard, we can now provide customers throughout the Nordic region with a complete data-driven offer both with secure 24/7 operation of business-critical databases and cutting-edge expertise in how to turn data into insight”.

SYSCO's mission is to create digital success stories for its customers with the help of deep industry knowledge and heavy cutting-edge expertise in technology. The company deliver smart applications to the energy industry, extremely skilled consultants and specialized monitoring of business-critical databases and IT infrastructure.

To make all systems interact, customers need a provider that understands three things: the industry they operate in, the systems they already have, and new technologies for cloud services and data streams. With over 250 specialists - or technical superheroes - from 20 different countries, spread over eight offices in Norway and Scandinavia, SYSCO can provide just that.

SYSCO is owned by the Norwegian private equity company Credo Partners, with Ferd as the largest investor.

Robert Svensson, IMAP, comments: “We look forward to continue to follow the companies combined journey and we are pleased that SQL Service now can now fulfil its ambition to become a leading Nordic specialist in SQL Servers. A big thank you to Steinar, Tina and Håkan for the confidence to run the sales process for SQL Service Nordic”.

IMAP advised the sellers throughout the process.
