Webasto Thermo & Comfort acquired 70% of the shares of Hebei Southwind Automobile Equipment (Group) Co., Ltd.; Hebei, China. Through this acquisition, Webasto has taken a solid step in the fast-growing Chinese market and consolidated its market leader position.
Webasto is a major manufacturer of heating systems for automotive applications on a worldwide basis with profound knowledge and experiences of a wide variety of heating systems in the automotive sector.
Hebei is one of the most well-known Chinese companies that engages in production and marketing of heaters for buses and trucks in China. The company has an annual production of 40,000 heaters per year and its own development departments in Hebei and Beijing.
